Bray’s 12-game unbeaten record at U20 level came to an end on Saturday against Dundalk.
Having won their previous two fixtures in the EA SPORTS League of Ireland Tier 2 North section, and not lost in all competitions since March of this year, the Seagulls went down 5-1 on Saturday at Oriel Park.
U17 player Flynn Ryan debuted at this level. It meant he played alongside his older brother Dylan.
The club’s player pathway continued with U17 defenders Bailey Shelley and Jack Lawless included amongst the substitutes.
But the Green and White’s trailed 2-0 when Conall Alfred (first minute) and then Cian Spaight (7) found the net.
It got better for the Lilywhites as TJ Molloy bagged third in the 29th minute.
Alfred was on the mark again in the 69th minute before substitute Cillian Kavanagh notched a fifth in the 78th minute.
Leon Keogh was on the scoresheet for the visitors in the 85th minute, finishing off sub Ilya Bednakovs’ assist.

* Elsewhere in the section, Longford Town defeated Derry City 2-0 at Bishopsgate, while Finn Harps and Drogheda United drew 1-1 at Letterkenny Community Centre.
The results means Finn Harps set the pace on ten points from four games. Drogheda United (three games) and Dundalk (for games) are joint-second on seven points. Bray are fourth on six points after three games.
* Bray return to the Carlisle Ground provisionally on Saturday July 25 next to host Shelbourne in the Quarter Finals of the LOI Academy MU20 Enda McGuill Cup.
