In the top of the table EA SPORTS MU20 League of Ireland Tier 2 North clash, a goal in each half saw Bray go down narrowly to leaders Drogheda.
When the teams last faced off back in July, the Boynesiders won 4-3 at the Carlisle Grounds.
But United held the edge at a blustery Drogheda Institute of Further Education on Saturday afternoon.
In the windy conditions, both teams struggled to get any real momentum going. Wanderers had a lot of possession and tried to open up a very organised home team. But just couldn’t find the final ball to find the breakthrough.
It took a wonderful set piece by United to break the deadlock in the 27th minute, as Sean McCarthy’s free kick of the highest order crashed in off the right hand post.
The second half followed the trend of the opening period, as both clubs cancelled each other out.
A defensive error by the visitors was capitalised by the hosts in the 65th minute.
When the away side failed to clear a routine cross, the ball fell kindly to Scott Brady who rifled to the net.
The Green And White’s did have some opportunities late on through Philip Cooney and Leon Keogh. But were unable to take full advantage of them.
Bray Wanderers: Edvinas Jakas; Darragh Butler, Jack Nolan, Caleb O'Neill, Destiny Avenbuan; Joshua Kerr, Jamie Ryan; Ethan Cheese, Max Mc Laughlin, Phillip Cooney; Leon Keogh.

* Elsewhere in the section, Derry City beat Finn Harps 2-1 at the Shared Village. Athlone Town overcame Longford Town 2-0 at the Athlone Town Stadium.
The results mean Drogheda set the pace at the top of the charts on 25 points. Bray are second on 16 points. Both Dundalk and Finn Harps have 13 points with Athlone on 11 points.
