Athlone Town 2 Bray Wanderers 2

Philip Cooney grabbed an injury time equaliser as Bray’s U20’s left the Athlone Town Stadium with a hard earned point.
With Saturday’s EA SPORTS League of Ireland Tier 2 North tie in the 94th minute, the winger struck a well-deserved equaliser against Athlone Town off Destiny Avenbuan’s assist.
The Wicklow side had battled back from 2-0 after the opening period to secure the draw.
Despite a bright opening by the visitors, they were caught by a quick breakaway after six minutes. And found themselves 1-0 behind after Josh Halpin’s goal.
A long range strike by Martin Scally saw the Midlanders go two up in the 30th minute.
When the teams met in the reverse fixture back in June at the Carlisle Grounds, Wanderers won 1-0.
Striker Leon Keogh grabbed the winner that day after his penalty was saved but scored off the rebound.
This time round, he was fouled in the 48th minute, and picked himself up to convert the spot-kick.
