Galway United 3 Bray Wanderers 2 (After Extra Time)

Bray bowed out of the U20 EA Sports Enda McGuill Cup after a narrow defeat to last season’s finalists Galway.
In a repeat of the 2023 Semi Final, United emerged victorious after extra time at Maree Oranmore FC on Saturday.
The Seagulls took an 11th minute lead through defender Caleb O’Neill.
But the Tribesmen restored parity when Gradi Lomboto equalised in the 33rd minute.
The home team were reduced to ten players in the 60th minute when Churchill Idemudia was dismissed for a second yellow card.
But the Connacht outfit went ahead in the 68th minute when Alexander Van Strien Murphy found the net.
However, the Wicklow side levelled matters just 90 seconds later when Thomas Morgan was on the mark.
The decisive score arrived in the sixth minute of the first period of extra time when Lomboto grabbed his second goal to settle the first round contest.
