Wexford FC 1 Bray Wanderers 2
Bray made it three EA SPORTS MU17 LOI Group A wins on the bounce when defeating Wexford on Sunday.
After beating Klub Kildare and then Shamrock Rovers earlier this month, the Green and White’s moved above Wexford up to third in the table courtesy of the 2-1 victory at Ferrycarrig Park.
In a first half that was a hard fought battle between two resilient teams, Wanderers had several chances which they did not take full advantage of.
But the Seagulls took the lead in the 29th minute.
Flynn Ryan hit a perfectly executed free kick with the ball gliding past home goalkeeper Liam Billings to find the top corner.
It wasn’t until the 71st minute that the Wicklow outfit doubled that lead.
When a ball dropped loose from a corner, Sean Hennelly reacted to fire the ball to the net close in.
Wexford hit back in the 75th minute when Kyal Byrne pulled one back.
But Bray held on to close out the contest and secure their second away triumph of the campaign so far.
