Shamrock Rovers 2 Bray Wanderers 0
The concession of two early goals in the space of eight minutes cost Bray in their penultimate Group A tie of the EA SPORTS MU17 LOI.
Wanderers trailed 2-0 by the 14th minute which left them with an uphill task to get anything from the game.
When the teams met last March at the Carlisle Grounds, the Seasiders won 3-0.
But the Dubliner’s turned the tables on Sunday afternoon at Roadstone Academy to move above the Wicklow side in the standings.
With the visitors playing in the club third strip of Sky Blue to avoid a clash of the host Green and White colours, Desmond Armstrong's double did the damage.
He found the net in the sixth minute. Then bagged his second score eight minutes later after good work by Robert Keane.
From that point on, it was an even game without either team really dominating.
And although the away side had a few half chances, they couldn’t find a breakthrough to bring themselves back into the contest.

* Elsewhere in the section on Sunday, leaders UCD defeated Wexford FC 1-0 at Ferrycarrig Park. Second placed Bohemians drew 1-1 with Klub Kildare at the Oscar Traynor Centre.
* All three results mean that the top two placings are decided with all six clubs having one game remaining.
UCD have won the Group. They lead the way on 25 points. Bohemians are assured of second spot on 18 points.
Shamrock Rivers are now up to third on 11 points. Both Bray and Wexford trail the Hoops by a single point.
* Bray play host to Wexford next Sunday (May 11) at the Carlisle Grounds. Victory or a draw would secure fourth place for the Seagulls. But they could claim third place in they win, and Shamrock Rovers fail to beat Klub Kildare. Wexford need to beat Bray to move up to fourth place, possibly third depending on the Klub Kildare/Shamrock Rovers result.
