Klub Kildare 1 Bray Wanderers 2
It proved third time lucky for Bray as they picked up their first EA SPORTS MU17 LOI Group A win of the season.
With both teams looking for their first points of the 2025 campaign after two opening losses, Bailey Shelley’s bullet header had the Seagulls ahead at the break at FBD Resorts and Hotels Park on Sunday afternoon.
Isaac Millington then doubled that advantage with a penalty early in the second period.
The game started, and continued to be played, in a hard fought, physical battle between both sides.
Wanderers took the lead on the half hour when Shelley thundered a header to the net.
They could have added to their tally before the interval with both Cristiano
Bramley and Max Free going close to scoring.
The Green and White’s made it 2-0 in the 47th minute when Millington converted from the spot.
But the home team pulled one back Kian Brunton in the 57th minute.
However, the Wicklow outfit held out over the closing half hour to take the victory.
