Bray Wanderers 4 Kerry FC 0

Two Flynn Ryan goals either side of the interval sent Bray into the Semi Finals of the LOI Academy U17 Plate.
Leading 1-0 at the break at a blustery, and at times wet Carlisle Grounds on Sunday afternoon, the Wicklow side scored early in the second period before two goals in as many minutes late on sealed victory.
The only surprise was that it took Wanderers so long to forge the breakthrough. A litany of first half chances were spurned before they hit the front in the 43rd minute.
Leon Creighton intercepted in the away half near the right touchline. He skipped past a tackle to deliver a hanging cross to the back post. Ryan challenged then hooked the loose ball to the net from close range.
The second half was just five minutes old when it became 2-0.
Ryan was fouled off a throw down the left channel, just a yard outside the box.
The playmaker took the free-kick himself. Using the elements, he bent the dead ball to the far right corner of the net.
The result was put beyond doubt with two quick-fire scores in the 74th and 75th minutes.
Cristiano Bramley was played through but then held up in the box. To the left of the area, he played the ball back to Ryan who burst past a tackle to cross from the endline. Substitute Romeo Fomenky got ahead of a defender at the near post to poke in low.
Less than 60 seconds later, Creighton turned provider again.
He picked out Bramley. The forward stood up two markers, dropped the shoulder to get past them then driving a rising 14-yard shot to the roof of the net.
