Bray Wanderers 1 Cobh Ramblers 1

Bray picked up their first U17 LOI Academy MU17 Tier Two (South) home point after a hard earned draw with Cobh.
After having the better of the first half on Sunday afternoon at Ballycorus, Wanderers came from behind to draw 1-1 with Ramblers.
In a tight opening period, the only chance of note fell the Green and White’s way after only three minutes. Cristiano Bramley got past a defender on the left inside the box. But was denied by Daniels Lakis’ save.
The turnaround saw the contest become a more even affair.
Home substitute goalkeeper Rocco Byrne was required to make a fine foot block in the 49th minute.
At the other end in the 51st minute, Bradley Byrne’s reverse pass set up Bailey Shelley who blasted into the side netting off the left flank.
Bramley’s 57th minute cut-back off the right endline was almost turned into his own by a covering away player.
The Munster side then took a 62nd minute lead.
Byrne punched a cross out. Berkley Arrey then put the ball back into the danger zone with Cian Daly volleying to the roof of the net from eight-yards.
Byrne then produced a stunning fingertip save to touch sub Jakub Janik’s 20-yard drive onto the bar in the 74th minute.
Wanderers drew level with 13 minutes remaining.
Full Back Jack Nolan got to the right byline. His cross was deflected with Isaac Millington challenging for the spinning ball at the near post. Cobh didn’t clear and sub Sean Hennelly reacted to score from close range.
Home skipper Eric Schütte then drilled narrowly wide from distance in the 80th minute.
But the visitors finished strongly.
Byrne bravely blocked to deny sub Luke Morrissey in the 87th minute. Just seconds later, the keeper then thwarted Daly with another fine save.
