U17 Match Report - Bray Wanderers 0 Bohemians 3

Two late goals saw Bray fell to an opening day EA SPORTS MU17 LOI Group A loss.
After as scoreless opening period on Sunday afternoon at a blustery Berryfield Park in Enniskerry, a deflected effort gave Bohemians the lead just before the hour mark.
Further scores in the 86th and then 90th minutes saw the Dubliner’s take all three points.
The weather conditions proved difficult for both teams. Wanderers had the strong breeze in the 45 minutes while the visitors had the wind advantage after the interval.
In a tight opening half, Josh Harpur fired wide on 14 for the away side while for the hosts, Sean Hennelly blasted narrowly over from the ‘D for the hosts in the 33rd minute.
After Curtis Egan curled just off target just three minutes after the turnaround, the Gypsies somewhat fortuitously hit the front in the 58th minute.
Harpur’s cross-shot just off the left of the penalty area took a wicked deflection off a Bray player and wrong-footed Alex Forde on its way to the net.
After Bohs sub Sebastian Mohan flashed a 20-yard drive just wide in the 65th minute, the Seasiders went agonisingly close to equalising five minutes later.
Billy Feeney’s corner was met in a crowded six-yard box by Isaac Millington’s header. But the ball crashed back off the bar. Home skipper Max Free’s follow up close in went high and wide.
Those chances proved pivotal as the Phibsboro outfit doubled their in the 86th minute.
Mohan’s effort was charged down. It rebounded to Egan who placed a shot to the net from the edge of the penalty area.
Then in the last minute of normal time, Harpur was played in off the left in the box to convert from close range.
