Wexford FC 0 Bray Wanderers 4

For the second year in a row, Bray qualified for the Semi Finals of the EA SPORTS U17 League of Ireland Mark Farren Cup
That’s after an impressive a 4-0 away win over a strong Wexford side on Sunday afternoon at Ferrycarrig Park.
The two teams had previously met twice this season – with Wanderers winning away 2-1 back in March at the same venue while the clubs played out a 3-3 draw at the Carlisle Grounds last May in the EA SPORTS MU17 LOI Group A.
The Seagulls started the game well and found the breakthrough after just four minutes.
Cristiano Bramley, returning from being on the first team bench the night before in Longford, picked out the run of Sean Hennelly with an exquisite, lobbed pass. Hennelly finished calmly passed home goalkeeper Finn O’Leary.
It was 2-0 by the 11th minute.
Hennelly returned the favour setting up Bramley to slot in low right footed from 12-yards.
The visitors thought they added a third before the break. But full back Luke Burke’s cross come shot evaded everyone and ended up in the net. But it was ruled out for offside.
Wexford came out the better side at the start of the second half. But in the 67th minute, Wanderers broke quickly with Bramley making it 3-0.
Having also been on the bench against Longford, Flynn Ryan put the icing on the cake in the 72nd minute with a fine finish from the edge of the box after Bramley put him through.
The only sour note was the late sending off for Bramley for two yellows; the first for reacting to what appeared to be a clear penalty; and the second for a late tackle.
