UCD 2 Bray Wanderers 0

Bray’s recent two-game winning streak in the EA SPORTS MU15 LOI Group A came to an end on Saturday when going down to UCD.
A goal in each period saw the Students take all three points at Marley Park.,
When the clubs met in the reverse fixture back in March at Berryfield Park in Enniskerry, the Green and White’s ran out 2-1 winners.
Wanderers started brightly this time round with Daniel Oluwadara Olusola getting in one on one with Jack Tobin. But the UCD netminder stood tall to save.
The hosts responded with Luca McLaughlin hitting the bar from a good shot from distance.
Former Bray player James Loughnane gave the ‘College a 33rd minute lead, with an effort from outside the box who curled it into the top corner with his left foot.
The Seagulls started better in the second half, finally getting to grips with the UCD midfield, but were unable to create any chances from their possession.
Wanderers felt hard done by midway through thr period when the referee didn’t award a penalty for what seemed like a definite foul on substitute Nathan Byrne Roberts in the home penalty area.
With the second score of the contest always going to be crucial, it went the hosts way in the 73rd minute.
From a free-kick on the right hand side of the box, Sean Kelly’s dead-ball sailed into the net.
The visitors were reduced to ten players in injury time as substitute Kyle Jackson for dismissed for a second booking.
