Klub Kildare 1 Bray Wanderers 2
Bray claimed their first EA SPORTS MU15 LOI Group A away win of the campaign to keep a top two placing very much in their sights.
Goals in each period by Olivier Gnutek and Daniel Oluwadara Olusola saw the Seagulls do the double over Klub Kildare on Saturday at FBD Resorts and Hotels Park.
When the teams met in the reverse fixture last Match at Berryfield Park in Enniskerry, Wanderers won 4-1.
This time round, the visitors started brightly with skipper Oluwadara Olusola seeing two efforts in quick succession saved by home goalkeeper Nikadom Szlufik.
This was followed by two further spurned opportunities for the visitors. However, on the stroke of half time, the deadlock was broken.
Olusola applied pressure on a Kildare goal-kick and succeeded in getting a shot off - which Szlufik parried. But Gnutek was on hand to tap in the rebound.
Klub Kildare started strongly in the second half. And almost from the kick-off, drew level.
Some poor defending by the away side saw the hosts striker Mark Greene unmarked at the back post in the 47th minute. He fired a thunderous shot to the net.
But Wanderers rallied well and quickly took control again. Once more though, chances were not capitalised upon.
Yet, what proved to be the winner came on the hour mark.
Oluwadara Olusola was released down the right channel, beat a Kildare defender for pace, and from a tight angle, his effort found the inside of the far post.
Bray Wanderers: Elliot Homan; Jamie Lynch, Adeyemi Raphael Odogiyan, Ryan Higgins, Rhys Behan; Lewis Brady; Cillian Walsh, Alex Mernagh, Conor Cunningham; Daniel Oluwadara Olusola, Olivier Gnutek.

* Elsewhere in the section, leaders Shamrock Rovers defeated UCD 6-0 at Roadstone on April 19 last. At Ferrycarrig Park on Saturday, Bohemians beat Wexford FC 4-3. With all six clubs now having played eight times, third palced Bray are assured of at least fourth spot with two matches remaining. They are four points off Rovers; one behind Bohs in second place and three clear of UCD in fourth position.
* Bray return to the Carlisle Grounds on Saturday May 3 to host Shamrock Rovers.
