Cobh Ramblers 2 Bray Wanderers 2

Bray came from 2-0 down to earn an U15 EA SPORTS LOI Academy League 2024 Phase 2 – Tier Two (South) point
Substitutes Charlie Byrne and Albie Tormey-Murphy came off the bench to find the net against Cobh on Saturday afternoon at the Stephen Ireland Astro.
When the teams met in the reverse fixture at the end of June, Wanderers won 10-1 at Ballycorus. But this time round, the visitors found themselves two behind after just 13 minutes.
Ramblers went ahead when James Dorney Deasy’s third minute corner went straight in. Then ten minutes later, Cillian O'Connell drove to the net from the edge of the box.
The visitors were much improved in the middle and last third periods, where they dominated possession and created a number of chances before and after levelling matters.
Byrne made it 2-1 in midway through the second period when he finished smartly with his right foot into the left hand corner when one on one with Cobh keeper Isaac Kenneally.
The equaliser came in the 70th minute after good play down the away teams right wing where subs Emanuele Vaticone combined well with Jamie Lynch before Abbie Tormey-Murphy converted into the bottom left corner of the net from the edge of the penalty area.

Bray Wanderers: Finn McKeown; Ryan Butler, Adeyemi Raphael Odogiyan, Jack Lawless, Carlsen Sadilua; Sean Howard, Karl Ralph; Harry Grainger, Charlie Quinn, Oisin Kennedy; Alexander Emakhu.

Subs: Albie Tormey-Murphy, Louis Rothwell, Daniel Oluwadara Olusola, Evan Lynch, Charlie Byrne, Jamie Lynch, Emanuele Vaticone.

* Elsewhere in the section, Waterford FC beat Kerry FC 3-1 at Mounthawk Park.
With Bohemians and Waterford assured of the top two placings, the two results mean Bray are third. They are three points clear of Kerry with a superior goal difference.

* Bray are scheduled to play their final match in the section on Saturday October 19 next when they host Klub Kildare at Ballycorus.
