Bray Wanderers 5
Mayo FC 0

In the historic first ever match between the clubs in any age group, Bray proved too good for Mayo in their opening EA SPORTS MU15 League of Ireland Tier 2 North tie.
The Green and White’s led 3-0 at the break under the sweltering conditions on Saturday afternoon before sealing the 5-0 home triumph at the Carlisle Grounds.
It took less than two minutes for Wanderers to hit the front.
From a clearance in the away box, Jamie Lynch picked up the ball on the right, just ahead of the centre circle, He weaved his way past four tackles before firing in low from 12-yards.
The visitors almost equalised on 16. But from a corner, Sean Corcoran
volleyed against the bar.
The home team made the most of that let-off by doubling their lead four minutes later.
From a left wing Rhys Behan throw, Klye Jackson flicked on. Daniel Oluwadara Olusola gathered then slipped in the breaking Jackson inside the box to place a low effort to the far right bottom corner of the net.
Bray went in 3-0 up at the break as they scored again in the 43rd minute.
From a Mayo goal-kick, Lewis Brady won possession. Sub Nathan Roberts Byrne rolled a pass to onrushing Danny Howard. From the left of the ‘D, he expertly curled in right footed.
Wanderers fourth goal on the hour was a thing a beauty – starting in their own half with at least seven players involved.
In a series of one-two moves, Roberts Byrne squared from the right flank in the penalty area to the unmarked Oluwadara Olusola who made no mistake with an eight-yard finish.
The win was wrapped up in the 69th minute.
In another move back to front, Lynch’s superb pass with the outside of the right boot to released Howard in behind the away defence. From the right of the edge of the box, he deftly clipped a brilliant chip to the net.
