Four second half goals saw Bray secure their second EA SPORTS U15 LOI home Group A win in eight days.
A week after defeating UCD 2-1 at Berryfield Park in Enniskerry, the Wicklow side overcame Kub Kildare 4-1 at the same venue on Saturday evening.
The tie was score-less at the break. But all four of the hosts’ scores came in a sensational 18-minute spell to inflict a first loss this season upon the visitors.
The contest was competitive, and at times feisty.
No less than eight yellow cards were shown (four for each team) while a total of 13 minutes of time added on was played overall.
The stalemate at the break didn’t reflect the chances created by the Seasiders. Olivier Gnutek and strike partner Daniel Oluwadara Olusola (three times) went close to breaking the dead-lock in the opening period.
But the Green and White’s did go ahead in the 58th minute.
After linking with Oluwadara Olusola, Conor Cunningham’s left wing cross picked out the unmarked Kyle Jackson. Ten yards out, he controlled before firing to the net.
That cushion was doubled in the 67th minute.
From substitute Cillian Walsh’s right-wing corner, fellow reserve Daniel Howard, headed across goal. Oluwadara Olusola hooked the ball back from the left of the six-yard area were Howard side-footed in low from eight-yards.
However, within a minute, Kildare pulled one back.
With claims for a penalty for hand ball turned down, sub Mark Greene rifled in a stunning 20-yard low drive.
Yet, Bray restored their two-goal advantage in the 73rd minute.
Lewis Brady released Oluwadara Olusola. He won a foot race with an away defender before slotting in low from 15-yards.
The victory was sealed in the 75th minute.
Cunningham was upended in the box. The winger picked himself up to convert the penalty.
