Bray Wanderers 3 Finn Harps 4
The concession of four goals in just eight minutes cost Bray dearly in the EA SPORTS U15 League of Ireland Tier 2 North.
The young Seagulls led 2-0 at the interval against a good Finn harps side on Saturday afternoon at the Carlisle Grounds.
But the away side rallied to lead 4-2 by the 57th minute. Wanderers pulled one back but could not find the vital equaliser
It had begun well for the Wicklow team as they took a ninth minute lead.
From Alex Mernagh’s free-kick wide right, Jamie Lynch’s bullet header was kept out by Noah Boyle. The keeper then made another superb reaction save to prevent Kyle Jackson scoring. But an attempted clearance then rebounded off Lewis Brady to the net.
Wanderers doubled that cushion on the half hour.
Lynch powered a header forward off an away free in their own half. Daniel Oluwadara Olusola outpaced two covering defenders before slotting in low form 14-yards.
But the second period was different story.
Substitute Josh O'Donnell pulled one back for Harps before Odhran McHugh levelled matters on 52.
Just seconds later, McHugh made it 3-2 for the Donegal outfit while O'Donnell scored his second in the 57th minute.
The hosts got back into the game on 68.
Oluwadara Olusola chased a ball over the top down the right channel. He got the better of a defender before squaring inside to substitute Danny Howard who scored low from ten-yards
