Bray Wanderers 3 Bohemians 2

Bray maintained their 100% home winning record in the EA SPORTS MU15 LOI Group A with an enthralling victory over Bohemians on Saturday.
The Green and White’s were 2-0 up after just eight minutes at the Carlisle Grounds. But had to work hard to grind out a 3-2 success to move above the Gypsies into second place in the table.
The highlights of the contest were two stunning free-kick’s by attacking home midfielder Alex Mernagh.
When the teams met on the opening day of the season back in February, the Dubliners’ won by a 4-1 score-line at the Oscar Traynor Centre.
But the Seasiders needed just three minutes this time round to hit the front.
Daniel Oluwadara Olusola chased a ball in his own half and got to the away right by-line. His cut-back wasn’t fully cleared with allowed Lewis Brady to expertly place a right-footed effort from the ‘D to net.
It got even better for the Wicklow side in the eight minute.
From 25-yards, Mernagh got his free-kick up and over the wall, into the top left hand corner of the net.
Cillian Walsh then smashed a shot off the Bohs cross bar in the 16th minute.
However, the visitors were awarded an 18th minute penalty. But Seagulls custodian Elliot Homan saved Tony O'Brien’s spot-kick.
Yet, the visitors pulled one back in the 26th minute. From Sam Young’s low cross from the left, Homan parried O’Brien’s shot. But Ryan O’Neill pounced on the loose ball close in.
Wanderers restored their two-goal cushion three minutes later.
From exactly the same place, Mernagh struck his free into the opposite top right hand corner of the net.
Bohs made it 3-2 in the 43rd minute as Adrian Rascau’s shot from distance found the net.
In a much tighter second period, the away team went close to an equaliser in the 62nd minute.
Substitute Jamie Kavanagh’s attempt from outside the box came back off the bar. Homan reacted to gather the ball as O’Brien readied to pounce.
