Match Report – Bray Wanderers 2 Treaty United 1
Bray Wanderers (WU17) 3 CK United (WU17) 0
Women's Under 17 League group 1, Saturday 28 March 2026
Woodlands
The Bray girls came into this game looking to build on the previous week’s win over Klub Kildare, and at the final whistle, they didn’t disappoint.
The match started evenly, with both sides trading possession and neither willing to give an inch. Midway through the first half, Bray began to take control, and in the 26th minute their pressure paid off with a corner. From the resulting corner, Anna Morrissey delivered the ball to the edge of the box where Anna Malone picked it up, beat two defenders, and played it back into the danger area. Annalily Farrelly reacted quickest, striking low to the left of the goal to give Bray a 1-0 lead.
We continued to press high, while the back line stood strong whenever CK United looked to break. Just before half-time, a Bray free kick gave Julie Baumann a chance to double the lead, but her effort was well saved. We carried that momentum into the second half, maintaining their concentration defensively and winning key battles in midfield, even as CK United pushed more players forward.
Our second goal came in the 71st minute. Grace Leonard showed great determination to win the ball on the left before slipping a clever pass through to Erin Flashman, who delivered a neat cross into Ava Clarke. Taking it in stride, Ava shifted onto her right foot and calmly finished into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.
We kept pushing for a third and were rewarded in the 90th minute with another corner. Fidelma Lopez Hanlon’s delivery found Síofra O’Farrell, who reacted quickly to the loose ball and struck low into the net to seal a 3-0 win.
