Treaty United 2 Bray Wanderers 1

In the first game back after the SSE Airtricity First Division break, Bray went down away to Treaty on Friday.
A missed penalty midway through the first period cost the Seagulls at the Markets Field as United claimed all three points.
From the team who’d defeated Finn Harps last month at the Carlisle Grounds, there was one change to the Green and White’s starting line-up.
With Alain Kizenga sitting his Leaving Certificate, Jamie Duggan returned at right-back.
On the bench, midfielder Guillermo Almirall joined the substitutes.
United flew out of the traps, with Karl O’Sullivan releasing Lee Devitt wide right just as the first minute elapsed.
But his heavy first touch saw him closed down by Jimmy Corcoran. And the ball going across the face of goal before being cleared by Wanderers.
A minute later, after good work off the right flank by Evan O’Connor, former Seasider Yoyo Mahdy and O’Sullivan both had shots charged down in the box.
The visitors finally got going in the fifth minute.
After good work by Conor Knight, Rhys Bartley sent Max Murphy scampering clear down the left channel. The full back then saw his low drive kicked saved out for a corner by Corey Chambers.
The Limerick side then took a tenth minute lead.
After they won possession off the right from a Bray throw, Devitt linked with Mahdy. He then curled from 22-yards to the far left corner of the net.
The Wicklow outfit had the opportunity to draw left in the 25th minute.
Duggan’s clipped a cross from the right which was flicked on by Cian Curtis. It fell to Rhys Knight at the back post. But the recently crowned Irish Schools player of the year was bundled over by O’Connor. Referee Daniel Murphy pointed to the spot.
But after five successful penalty conversions so far in the 2025 season, Max Murphy saw his 12-yard dead ball crash back off the crossbar, and out past the 18-yard area.
Treaty hit straight back in the 28th minute. O’Sullivan wriggled free to strike from the ‘D. But Corcoran brought off a fantastic tip-over save.
The second goal of the game was always going to be decisive in the end result.
It went the Shannonsiders' way in the 59th minute.
After O’Sullivan’s initial surge, Lee Lynch crossed from the right flank.
Devitt – only back on the pitch after being bandaged up after a clash of heads with Bartley – gathered unmarked in the penalty area.
He turned to evade the attentions of two Bray defenders before rolling in low from 12-yards.
The visitors almost pulled one back in the 77th minute.
Max Murphy’s slide rule pass off the left side went into the path of sub Danú Kinsella Bishop to latch onto.
He slalomed past two home players in the box. But dragged his low 15-yard effort just past the left hand upright.
Wanderers grabbed what was in the end a consolidation in the 89th minute.
Sub Calum Costello threaded a pass down the left wing for fellow reserve Kinsella Bishop to chase.
From the endline, he pulled the ball back to the inrushing Guillermo Almirall with the Spaniard slotting in his first of the campaign with a placed low left footed finish from 12-yards.
