Bray Wanderers 1 UCD 3

For the third game in a row, the early concession of a goal cost Bray in the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division.
In front of a crowd in excess of 1,000 spectators for the fourth home game in a row at the Carlisle Grounds, the Seagulls fell behind after just three minutes on Monday evening.
UCD were 2-0 ahead by half time. But Rhys Knight’s second goal of the season midway through the second period gave Wanderers hope.
However, Adam Well’s superb individual strike sealed the Students victory in stoppage time.
There was five changes to the home starting line-up who’d lost 2-1 away against Kerry FC the previous Friday.
In came Alain Kizenga, Richard Ferizaj, Rhys Knight, Calum Costello, and Danú Kinsella Bishop.
On the bench, Dylan Barnett joined the substitutes.
Bray started well with Dara Kavanagh smothering Kinsella Bishop’s low shot on the turn in the second minute.
But less than a minute later at the other end, the ‘College hit the front.
Ciaran Bean delivered a corner from the right, with Eanna Clancy steering in a close range header in crowded six-yard area.
Wanderers had a big shout for a 19th minute penalty when Rhys Knight’s effort appeared to be blocked by a UCD arm in the box.
The away side doubled their lead in the 33rd minute.
Behan’s intended cross left footed from the right flank went wind assisted to the far bottom left corner of the net from 30-yards out.
Moments later, the Green and White’s almost hit back. But Ferizaj’s effort clipped the roof netting.
Kavanagh again denied Kinsella Bishop with a fantastic push around the post save on 50. The custodian then thwarted the former UCD player on 63 with a fine one-armed save.
The Wicklow outfit’s pressure paid off in the 65th minute.
After some slick passing, Max Murphy’s incisive through ball found Rhys Knight. He skipped past a challenge before driving in low from 20-yards.
The visitors though sealed the points in the second minute of time added on.
Sean Brennan found full back Wells on the right. He cut in and hit a brilliant 20-yard left footed effort that curled into the top left hand corner of the net.
