Match Preview - Wexford FC v Bray Wanderers February 28 2025

On the road for the second time this season, Bray make the journey on Friday to take on Wexford in the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division. 

Both teams were without competitive action last week with their respective matches postponed. 

“For the UCD game to be cancelled last minute, it was disappointing. But the focus is now on Wexford,” said First Team Coach Paul Heffernan. 

The Slaneysiders’ home tie with Longford also fell foul of the weathers. 

It means that the two clubs are still unbeaten after opening day victories. 

“It’s their first home game of the season, So, they’ll be up for it. But so will we” Heffernan stated. 

He continued “We’ve got our head around playing the first four games away on the spin. We know that it’s going to be a tough task. But we’ll be more than ready for it.” 

 

 

Having picked up a knock in pre-season, defender Dylan Barnett is close to first-team action. 

But defender Banjamin Fagbemi is ruled out.
