Match Preview - UCD v Bray Wanderers

Bray make the shortest away league trip of the 2024 season on Friday to take on UCD at the Bowl. 

In a match that will complete the first half of the campaign, First Team coaches Lorcan Fitzgerald and Paul Heffernan will again take charge of team affairs. 

Five points currently separate the two clubs in the table – with the Students in second position and the Wicklow side in sixth place. 

 

 

Winger Callum Thompson may come into contention having been on the bench last week for the away win over Wexford. 

Captain Kilian Cantwell and top scorer Peter Grogan remain on the side-lines along with goalkeeper Jimmy Corcoran and striker Ben Feeney 

Custodian Stephen McGuinness and defender Cole Omorehiomwan remains doubtful. 

 

 

The two teams met on the opening day of the season back in February. 

UCD won 2-1 at the Carlisle Grounds. 

First half goals by Ciaran Behan and Harvey O’Brien had them 2-0 up before Ben Feeney pulled one back late on.
