Bray Wanderers Match Preview
League of Ireland First Division
Cork City
Friday June 28, Turner’s Cross
Kick-off 7.45pm
After the mid-season break, Bray begin the second part of the 2024 campaign by travelling to First Division leaders Cork on Friday at Turner’s Cross.
First Team coaches Lorcan Fitzgerald and Paul Heffernan will again take charge of team affairs.
Currently, 15 points currently separate the two clubs in the table – with the Wicklow outfit in third place and the Munster side in pole position.
Goalkeeper Jimmy Corcoran, striker Ben Feeney as well as defenders Cole Omorehiomwan and Evan Osam are sidelined with injury. They have been joined by fellow defender Jamie Duggan over the break.
When the teams met back in the middle of March, Cork won 2-0 at Turner’s Cross with goals by Sean Murray and Cathal O’Sullivan.
The Leesiders left the Carlisle Grounds with all three points back in May after first half scores by Cian Bargary (2) and O’Sullivan. Guillermo Almirall pulled one back for Wanderers.
