Taking a first leg 1-0 advantage into the second leg, Bray will host UCD in the First Division Play-off Semi Final.
Cian Doyle’s injury time header gave the Seagulls a narrow lead going in the reverse fixture at the Carlisle Grounds on Tuesday.
“The job is not done,” said First Team Coach Paul Heffernan. “We know nothing is finished yet.”
He continued “It’s halfway through the tie. There’s only one goal in it. It’s all still to play for. Nothing is decided yet. We know that. We’ll come up with a game plan to try to give us the best opportunity to win the game.”
Heffernan stressed “I feel that’s what we’ll have to do., We can’t sit there and hope the clock ticks down. We have to play the game. We’ve showed all season we can play the right way. We’ve created chances at home at the Carlisle. That’s what we’ll be looking to do again.”
He also called on the Wanderers supporters to get behind the team.
“They were amazing at the Bowl. I’ve said it before – it helps the players. It gives them energy. It makes you run a yard quicker. It makes you jump a little bit higher. We hope there’s going to be a big crowd in on Tuesday to support the lads again. We’re going to need it.”
