Match Preview - Bray Wanderers v UCD First Division Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg

In the First Leg of the First Division Play-Off Semi-Final, Bray welcome UCD to the Carlisle Grounds on Thursday. 

In the 2024 League season, Wanderers finished fifth with the ‘College as runners-up – with just five points separating the sides after 36 games. 

The two teams met in the 2021 First Division Play-off Final. 

 

 

Defender Evan Osam has resumed training. But is rated doubtful. 

 

 

This will be the fifth meeting of the clubs in 2024. 

The two teams met on the opening day of the season back in February. 

UCD won 2-1 at the Carlisle Grounds. First half goals by Ciaran Behan and Harvey O’Brien had them 2-0 up before Ben Feeney pulled one back late on. 

But in the reverse fixture at the Belfield Bowl back in May, it finished in a score-less draw. 

Back at the Carlisle Grounds last August, the ‘College won 1-0 with Michael Raggett on the mark. 

Last September at the Bowl, it finished 1-1. Cristian Magerusan opened the scoring the away side. But the hosts equalised through Stephen Mohan.
