Bray Wanderers Match Preview

League of Ireland First Division

Longford Town

Friday September 26, Carlisle Grounds

Kick-off 7.45pm

In what will be the penultimate home League match of the 2025 season, Bray will play host to Longford Town on Friday at the Carlisle Grounds.
Currently 26 points separate the two clubs in the standings, with Wanderers in third and the Midlanders who are in eighth position.
“We have to be ready, and we will respect Longford - like we respect every team in the League. If you are not at the required level in every League game then you won’t win,” said First Team Coach Paul Heffernan whose side have the joint-best home League record this season in the First Division.
“Concentration levels need to be high. We must show the right mentality to finish the League campaign with as many points as possible.”

Conor Knight and Cian Curtis’ first half goals were added to by Rhys Knight and Max Murphy in the second period.
Back at Bishopsgate last July, Billy O’Neill gave the Seasiders the lead. That was cancelled out by Daniel Norris by half time. But O’Neill popped up with a late winner.
