Bray Wanderers Match Preview
League of Ireland First Division
Finn Harps
Friday September 19, Carlisle Grounds
Kick-off 7.45pm
With five League games remaining in the normal 2025 season, and with at least a fourth-place finish guaranteed, Bray will play host to Finn Harps on Friday at the Carlisle Grounds.
Currently 21 points separate the two clubs in the standings, with Wanderers in third and the Donegal team who are in sixth position.
“The play offs are down the line, and we need to forget them for now. Our main priority right now is the remaining five league games,” said First Team Coach Paul Heffernan.
“We will fight as hard as possible to get maximum points in every one of the games. We have almost a fully fit squad available now. So, that means there is people fighting for starting places in every position. And that healthy competition is good for everyone.”

PREVIOUS MEETINGS IN 2025
When the teams met last March in Ballybofey, Finn Harps won 5-0 with goals by Max Hutchinson, Gavin Hodgins, Mikey Place, Dara McGuinness, and Tony McNamee.
But in the return fixture last May, the Seagulls took all three points at the Carlisle Grounds.
Gavin Hodgins gave the visitors the lead only for Billy O’Neill, Max Murphy, and Danú Kinsella Bishop to find the net in the 3-1 success for the Green and White’s.
Back in Donegal in August, Bray came from 2-0 down to earn a point. Harps were ahead through a Tony McNamee effort and Jamie Duggan own goal.
However, headers by Paul Murphy and Cian Curtis earned the Wicklow side a draw.
