Bray Wanderers Match Preview

League of Ireland First Division

Dundalk

Friday March 21, Carlisle Grounds

Kick-off 7.45pm

For the first time in the 2025 season, Bray return to the Carlisle Grounds to play on the new surface.
Current SSE Airtricity First Division leaders Dundalk will provide the opposition at the seaside venue in what will be the first league meeting between the clubs since August 2018.
“It seems like an age since we last played at the Carlisle (October 2024),” said First Team Coach Paul Heffernan.
“We’ve trained well all week on the surface. The lads can’t wait to play in front of a home crowd. We’ve picked up two good away results (1-0 over Longford and Kerry) so far this season. Hopefully, there will be a decent crowd to support the lads. But honestly, we can’t wait to get going at the Carlisle.”
Four points currently separate the two teams in the charts, with the unbeaten Lilywhites having played one match more than the Seagulls.
“They’ve had a good start. They managed to claim a couple of 1-0 wins themselves. We know it’s going to be tough. I’m sure they’ll bring a big crowd down as well. It’s going to a good occasion.”

TEAM NEWS

Defender Dylan Barnett played his first competitive game since September 2022 last weekend for the clubs’ U20 team. And could be included in the squad.
Winger Thomas Considine though is an injury doubt.
But defender Benjamin Fagbemi is ruled out. New signing Eric Molloy is lacking match fitness.
