Bray Wanderers Match Preview
League of Ireland First Division
Cobh Ramblers
Monday June 3, Carlisle Grounds
Kick-off 5.00pm
After picking up four points in two away matches, Bray return to the Carlisle Grounds on Monday afternoon to play host to Cobh Ramblers to begin the second half of the 2024 season.
First Team coaches Loran Fitzgerald and Paul Heffernan will again take charge of team affairs.
Three points currently separate the two clubs in the table – with the Wicklow side in fifth position and the Rams in seventh place.
The Seagulls were boosted from last Friday’s draw away to UCD by the return from injury of captain Kilian Cantwell, custodian Stephen McGuinness and winger Callum Thompson.
Top scorer Peter Grogan remain on the side-lines along with goalkeeper Jimmy Corcoran, striker Ben Feeney and defender Cole Omorehiomwan.
Bray will look to make it third time lucky again the Cork side.
When the two teams met back in March at the Carlisle Grounds, it finished 2-2.
Conor Knight and Cole Omorehiomwan twice put the Wicklow side ahead. But Ramblers equalised through Matthew McKevitt on both occasions.
In the reverse fixture at St. Colman’s Park back at the start of May, Peter Grogan gave Wanderers an early lead. But Cobh hit back with goals by Beineón O'Brien-Whitmarsh and Dale Holland to win 2-1.
