Bray Wanderers FC Announce New Gym Partnership

BLOC Gym announced as the Official Strength and Conditioning Partner of the Club.

Bray Wanderers has stepped up preparations for the 2026 season with the announcement that the Club has secured a Strength and Conditioning partnership with Bray’s BLOC Gym.
The move will see the Club’s 25-strong first team preparing for games throughout the season in BLOC’s 500-square metre Boghall Road facility, under the guidance of the Club’s Director of Athletic Performance, Paul McGrath.
“It’s a privilege to have a club like Bray Wanderers coming on board with us,” said Rob Carry, owner of BLOC Gym. “The club is a real institution in this town and we’re all really proud and excited to help them gear up for what is promising to be an exciting season.”
BLOC’s large revamp over the past 12 months has established it as one of the leading fitness facilities in Bray. “We’ve a huge, 500-square metre premises here and it’s packed top to bottom with a brilliant range of strength, fitness and recovery equipment,” said Carry. “We installed a huge 20-person sauna late last year as part of an outdoor recovery area and we’ve also just installed a double-lane 25-metre track with sled, rowers and ski-ergs that are proving hugely popular with people preparing for HYROX and TRYKA events.”
The gym is also known for an innovative mental health initiative that sees all members receive access to free mental health services through local charity, Cabhair.
“As we continue to build Bray Wanderers FC and identify opportunities to help our players perform at their peak, we are thrilled to partner with Rob Carry and BLOC Gym,” explained Keith O’Hare, Director of Operations.
O’Hare continued, “Having access to this local space, with a fantastic atmosphere and extensive range of equipment, will be of tremendous benefit to our Athletic Performance Department's initiatives.”

About Bray Wanderers FC
Founded in 1922, Bray Wanderers FC has been at the centre of the Bray and South Dublin community for more than 100 years. Its home, the Carlisle Grounds, is the oldest sporting venue in Ireland, dating back to its opening in 1862. Bray Wanderers FC currently play in the League of Ireland First Division under the leadership of First Team Coach Paul Heffernan.
The Club, fuelled by its loyal fanbase, saw average attendances at home games grow to more than 1,000 per match in 2025 and narrowly missed promotion to the Premier Division in its playoff final against Waterford FC. The Seagulls also had exciting news off the pitch, with a new ownership consortium purchasing the Club in September. The new team, led by Malachy Burke, JB Gough, and David Goldstein, has made great strides ahead of the 2026 season, including new partnerships and the arrival of several Men’s First Team signings.
