Bray Wanderers are delighted to announce that Billy O’Neill has signed a contract extension.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough 2025 season as the Wicklow club ride high in the First Division, and are currently in the last 16 of the FAI Cup.
“We are all delighted that Billy has signed a contract to stay at the club” stated First Team Coach Paul Heffernan.
The teenager became the clubs youngest ever first team player back in October 2023 at just 15 years and 222 days old.
The young Dubliner made eight first team appearances by the end of the 2024 campaign in the Green and White colours.
But this year, O’Neill has scored six League goals in 22 appearances while contributing nine assists in all competitions.
He was a member of the Republic of Ireland U17 team that in March of this year secured a historic first ever qualification for the World Cup in that age group.
“We are all delighted at the club with the work being done behind the scenes, and within the club Academy structure, to encourage player pathway signings like this happen” beamed Heffernan.
